Default 700r stock 1/4 mile predictions or actual times?

The 1/8 mile times will probably be pretty good, but anything after that its nothing more than a top speed run. I know that for an 1/8 mile he should keep up if not be ahead of a mid 12 second car but after he tops out its over. I think 14.7 to 14.9 in the 1/4 would be accurate. Now with taller gearing I think that a raptor could do better than a high 14. But with out the top speed your 1/4 times will be limited.

come on Scary!!!! your tellin us your quad doesent top out well before a 1/4 mile, how many seconds does it take to top out your quad?? I top out in about 8-10 seconds and that is at about 76 Mph on the street, probally less on the dirt due to wheel spin. I know I am not evan close to a 12 sec 1/4 with my 686. I've pulled a 11.93 at 119 Mph on my GSXR 600 at altitude, and I used that to get top speed measurements on my buddies Banshee (86Mph) that beats my rappy all the time And I was by no means riding it hard to stay next to him during our "drag race" to top speed. He had to really dog it to top it out in a short distance which he did in alot less than a 1/4 mile.

Sorry again but the 1/8 mile times will only be on par with a low 14 - high 13 second 1/4 mile times. Taller gearing still won't get ya into the 13's. My 93 Z28 will run 13.9's at about 100 mph. That translates to about 8.8 in the 1/8 at 79 mph. A stock raptor will not jump my camaro out of the hole and will not even come close in the quarter mile. Even if you change the gearing the raptor will just lose low-end and will not be able to keep up with the camaro. A stock yfz will not either. My 465 can jump a yfz out of the hole and will easily pull away from it in the 1/8 mile. The 465 will run close to 90 and will lose to the camaro in the quarter.

I'm talking stock here. No doubt that a modded raptor could be made to run 13's pretty easy but a stock one just won't do it not even with different gearing.

lets just put it this way......
when my quad pulls up to the line your gsxr will not have a chance.....

you got to give more info than that, I have to throw a BS flag on that play. unless you have modded the internal gearing I dont see a raptor (with stock ratio gears, 1st-5th) beating a GSXR in the 1/4. I would say a modded raptor could get the jump but would probally need a wheelie bar, but the GSXR will still be first to the trap.

I think Scary may have been talking about his 572 cheetah (that will give you a run for your money) as for stock quads: Ithink only the 450 with a 130 lbs rider has a chance topping out in the 1/8th. I also believe the best a stock Raptor will do in the 1/4 will be low 15s

I was talking about my new bike......but the 472 cheetah would have been more than enough to handle a semistock gsxr 600 in the 1/4 mile

with my fat butt on it it ran 10.900 @113mph with the clutch slipping HARD in 5th and 6th gear...
I think that bike would have run 10.50-60 at around 120 if I got the clutch dialed correctly.......but I ended up selling the motor after the new owner saw it run that 10.900

my new bike should be VERY deep in the 10's
I'm looking for a 10.00
