I have a '03 raptor 660.
I live in phoenix az, i want to get a 686 piston and the head done.
I was wondering what local shops you guys have used and if you feel they did the job well at a fair price. I'll be doing all the assembly so they would just be boreing and the head work.
I would like to get it done after my next trip to gorden's well sand dunes on presidents day.
any help would be great.

I use ATV Racing just north of Deer Valley Road and just east of the frontage road of I17, they have a web site you can check out, I think its atvracing.com. I have been very happy with the work they have done on my Raptor and all the other quads I have brought in to them. They did my tranny rebuild and it has been perfect for years. They are affordable.

Another good place is AJ's Performance on 9th Ave just south of Deer Valley road. They have done good work for me also.

I have tried other places in town but will not go back to any of them except these two.

Kenz cycle tech in Mesa is recognized as one of the best engine shops in the country. I used CT racing, before I knew about Kenz, and have been very happy with their work as well. I will only use Kenz from now on. I have seen his yfz 450 kit run with my 470....His Honda 426's run all day with other guys 440 kits...Plus my friends who have used him say the customer service is second to none.

 

leave screwies alone. the best builder in phoenix is kenz cycle tech, and KMS performance. or try pcp off-road..
