Welcome to the forums.
Thanks

Standard hole shots. I just looked and they aren't made for sand but I figured anything would perform better than the stock bubble tires that come on a blaster.

I assume by standard you mean XC's? I have XC's on my 450 and although they ain't the best for sand they do ok. The lugs are big and move to much sand to do well. Desert hardpack is where they shine.

there are standard holeshots and xc holeshots, according to an old issue of atvsport, standard holeshots are good in general trail riding, and hard pack motox, and the xcs are good in general trail riding, and woods racing...

It's not the tires. Holeshots are very respected. Your stock tires are balloon tires. They perform much better than MX tires in sand. It don't matter if they are XC, XCR or whatever, they are a totally different shape.

Holeshots are made for sliding in turns on harder packed surfaces.

Well, you hit the nail right on the head. The stock tires are balloon tires like master raptor said, and they're two ply which means they are alot lighter and "float" on top of the sand. Where the Holeshots (I cant remember if the regular Holseshots are 4-or-6 ply) are heavier and sink in sand. It is not the tires that suck, your just not using them on the terrain they were designed to be used on.

2 stroke tires need to spin pretty well, holeshots are all for grip, holeshots r for nice dirt not sand, they try to dig

hole shots don't suck, they just suck where your using them, get them in the woods or on the hard pack and they rock, a blaster may have hard time turning them also,

04 raptor few mods
