700r GYT-R hi-flow filter - lean?

Default 700r GYT-R hi-flow filter - lean?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has run this without a dobek tfi. I dont want to put it on if I am going to be running too lean.

If you leave the air box lid on I wouldnt worry at all, Yamaha claims it is ok to remove the lid and run a performance exhaust. I ran my 700 for a couple weeks with sparky and lid removed, big power gain, but you could tell the fuel wasnt spot on. Either way I would get the dobeck, then do whatever you want to your 700, tune it and it will run perfectly.
