blaster question

Default blaster question

i just put a trenga racing oil block off kit on my 2001 blaster and i was wondering if i need to adjust the jetting to accomodate the new fuel mix? thank you.

But i am also changing oils from ams dominator to motul 800. would that have ne effect

Default blaster question

I rode my blaster today and it was running good and then it started back fire ing like crazy and then it died on me again.when i pulled my spark plug and there was carbon and some black crap all over my plug. ne suggestions on wut might be wrong?. thanks.

I'd say that you're running too much oil in the mix. What mixture are you running? I think that Manufacturers specs say 35:1. Somebody else correct me if I'm wrong.

well im runnin 32:1 but i can't figure out why its backfireing like crazy. do i need to do something with the jetting soo i get less gas?

Yea. Your running your oil to rich. Get a new sparkplug. And while your at your local dealer getting the plug ask what the recomended ratio is for the blaster.

i went to trengaracing.com and it said to run 32:1 and it said this on the installation instructions as well. thanks i wil try that though. i just don't kno why it would run fine all day and then just quit running well.

Mine has done that too. When you let it cool off all the way it will probably start right back up and run fine. I don't know why but that's what mine did.

How hard was that block-off to put on? I think that I ought to get one just for safety sake.
