hey,did anyone else see the commercial for the thing on mtv,,,i think it is some type of "festival" forgot the name of it,but they said they will have skaeting,biking,motorsprts and then they showed a bunch of people racing raptors around..............i guess anyone that hasnt seen a raptor i naction will if they tune into mtv when its on(the show)........yes this might be useless but it seams like when someone hears or see's something about a raptor they must post it.......im doing just that

 

sports and music festival This saturday on mtv. And yes the commercial did show about 5 raptors racing on it looked like a mx course. check it out.

 

yup, i saw it, its the SMF (Sports and Music Festival) its on 12 noon here on the east coast. they have had this last few years, usually the have freestlye dirtbiking, skateboarding, bmx, skatin, and a few other things but this year they adding quading to the program. this is the only ATVing i have ever saw on TV, besides the occasional commercial. im definetly going to be watching it, its not like we get this kinda action everyday.

i do remember reading in a quad magazine, something about how a guy is going to take his quad, jump it, and grind down a handrail on a set of stairs (like skaters do) it was supposed to be on MTV, but it never happened

 

i saw that commercial too, i was also waiting for that quad to go down the railing on senseless acts of video but like you said it never happened

 

It did happen on Sensless acts of video. It was pretty lame. The railing was special made for the "stunt" and was wide and flat on the top.
Then the wheeler (either a 400ex or a 250r, I don't remember) had a skid plate with runners welded on the bottom so the wheeler couldn't slide off the rail sideways or twist. The guy just had to balance a little to keep rubber side down.

 

I didn't get a chance to see it but I think it was shot by H-Bomb films. I saw a picture of a rail slide in dirtwheels. I am guessing you can see it in Huevos III, which should have alot more great atv action like Huevos Grandes and Huevos II.
As far as seeing other atv action on tv, sometimes they show atv freestyle jumping during motocross freestyle shows, but it has been awhile since I last saw it.

 

i see atvs on tv,,,,,,they often have ATV racing,,in arena's............but they dont show it as much as motorcross but its alright........are you sure you people neever seen them broadcast atv racing on tv??????
