So how long should I be easy on it or how much can I get on it? I just want it not to tear up on me.

I'm from salem and bought the raptor from mass. where are you bringing it for the valve adjustment? How much does this cost?

Thanks for the info,

I broke my Raptor in for 2 hours than ran it to hell and back, haha. You don't need 20 hours break in time, a couple hours on it will be good enough. The owners manual also tells you not to jump your raptor. I think they are being overly cautious. My buddy when he first got his ran it wide open down the street, never had a problem with his.

to answer your question i asked my bike shop that is very well known the same ? and said 10 would be plenty and i agree. i have about 20 hrs on mine and feeles the same as 10hrs, so motor is tight till about 10 hrs.but still can horse around a little with it just can't run rpm's high at long periods at a time that is the key to break in.

If you are worried about breaking your machine correct, follow the owners manual's detailed instructions.
