Warrior Bore

I have a 1996 warrior and i was lookin into the alba cam and spring kit, it has a cam, je piston, Ti springs, and all seals and gaskets for $430. I was wondering if i got this and got the piston size as 2 over what cc my warrior would be considered and if it is worth it and if not what should i get.

the purpose of an overbore that small is to get a clean cylinder wall surface, not power gains. Any power gains you feel won't be coming from the larger displacement, but you could notice a power gain from re-establishing compression lost due to wear and tear. I think that it's something like 2-4 cc's, nothing much.
I think that kit sounds like a good deal. When you add up the prices of everything, you'll save a few bucks with the kit compared to buying everything seperately.

The Edelbrock kicks @ss! It gave a very noticable power gain, MUCH better throttle response, completely eliminated that off-idle bog the stock carbs always have with the adjustable accelerator pump, and was very easy to 'jet'(no real jets in it). Yeah, it uses the stock airbox and boot, and it comes with a shorter intake manifold.

I forgot to ask you what you thought about the increase in throttle response. Glad to hear it helped there too. Being I have the semi-auto trans, I can really use the help off idle. I just put in a set of centrifugal clutch springs, which is supposed to raise the stall about 500 rpm's, so that should help too.
With my 446, I am looking for more off idle throttle response as well as more top end. Ever since I've had the big bore, it feels like it is lying down on the top end. I've jetted all over the place and I think my stock carb is holding it back. I'm also wondering if the "quiet core" in my HMF exhaust is adding to my top end problem. Never thought about yanking it until recently. My HMF is pretty loud now; I guess a little louder isn't going to make much difference.

The edelbrock turned my mostly stock warrior into a completely different animal. I could only imagine the difference you would get with a highly modded motor like yours. It adds 4.5 hp on the top with an exhaust-only motor, so you would be looking at quite a bit more. That stock POS carb is restrictive on a mostly stock motor like mine, so there's no doubt that yours is holding you back. The throttle response is amazing once you get the accelerator pump tuned in right, once you get it right you can punch the throttle as hard as you want and the response is instant.

One more question, is it worth it to get a edelbrock carb or the alba cam and spring kit i mentioned, they are around the same price i think and if the carb is the better choice where d i get a cheap one besides used on ebay. Also would the able 400 stroker kit be worth the money instead.

I would go for the Edelbrock before the cam. It might not have as much of a power gain, but it makes up for that with the extra features it has.
Yes, I bought mine from 'motomahimahi' on ebay for $349 + shipping. That was the cheapest place I could find it. The shipping took a couple of weeks, but I ordered it during the holidays, so that can be expected.
The Dyna ignition wouldn't be worth the money until you get some more serious motor work done, like a high lift cam and springs, high compression piston, port polish, valve job, etc. With a stock motor the Dyna would still give you power gains, but it will make you float valves like you wouldn't believe. The good power curves are just too aggressive for a stock setup, and the milder ones don't make it worth the money.
