could someone tell me the difference between the 2005 and 2006 yfz.my dealer has a leftover 05 for 400 dollars cheaper .

 

I would say go to yamaha's websight and it lists in detail the changes, some 80 I think. The changes for sure that I know of are: redesigned head, better combustion, more flow, higher handlebars in relation to seating position (thank god), softer spring rates, softer valving on shocks, softer seat pan foam, and best of all Honda round carrier style of axle adjustment. I've seen the 06's out on the dunes, and they appear to run harder than the same modded 04 & 05's. I would say that the $400 is well worth the improvements over the 05, my 2 cents. Can't go wrong with either one, $400 would buy some nice hop up parts.
