raptor idles really fast

Did you pull out the carbs to rejet, leaving the cables connected? If so, when you twisted the carbs over to get to the bowls you might have made a complete 360 and eventualy put it together that way. If not that, then did you do anything that required you to move, push, pull or anything like that on the throttle and or choke cables? When you turn the handlebars from side to side does the idle go up at all? If so you have twisted the cables or somehow they've gotten out of the correct routing from the handlebars to the frame. Just some things that might be a solution for you.

Check your choke valve it is probably sticking open. Mine rusted open and caused this. As you may know the choke is not really a choke but a simple enrichening valve. Make sure it is shutting completely. You cannot determine this by moving the lever, you have to take the cable off and move the plunger valve. Be very careful. The reason I am using Edelbrock now is because mine siezed in there from me trying to get it out. The plunger should slide right out. I had the same problem.

weel it's either 0ne of 2 things. i rolled it on it's side and repalced the handlebars. i didn't really notice it until i replaced the bars though. i'll take it to the shop have them look at it. bout time for a sevice anyway

all of those things can do it, but when all my raptors started doing it and i couldnt figure out what was going on, well long story short the valves were bad out of adjustment for some reason this will cause the idle to go crazy
