Default Too much smoke

quick question, at idle there is way to much exhaust coming out. Do I adjust with the needle? or the air screw?

Could be your rings. Do you still have alot of compression? Try both skrews start with the idle screw.

The main jet has no effect at idle.

that is what I thought, but I was reading my Clymer manual and it says if there is excessive amount of smoke it would be neccesary to re-jet.. I was confunkled

What color is the smoke? Black, white, or blue?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but heavy white smoke is usually an indication of antifreeze.
Black is fuel, and blue is oil.

If the black was cracked and antifreez was seeping threw you would probaly lose compression and it you would hear a weird noise from your head. Correct me if i'm wrong. But as for black, white and blue smoke i think your right. Thoe i never heard about antifreez burning white. But i'm not sure.
