Default Drowned Kodiak

I have tried searching what to do with V-belt casing. I have removed the case and am wondering what I need to regrease. It looks like a special tool to gain access to the internals. Do I need to remove it? What happened is I submerged it coming off a bank. The belt would not catch to drive the machine. I plan on changing all oil and spark plug etc., but I am wondering about the slipage. I found a lot of grease on the outer case. Thanks for all of the help.

Theres a few places on line which describe the how to, this is one of the better ones.
ansley Its about 5 tips down the page
Its the procedure for doing a grizzly, but the kodiak is virtually the same.
If you look in my gallery, click on camera to the left, youll see a picture of how i hold the primary still, while loosening the nut...it works for tighteneing it as well.

My cousin submerged his 2002 Kodiak once. It was never the same after that. He traded it in for a grizzly the next year.

When you submerged you mean totally under water? I have a 350 bruin with the same belt/centrifigal clutch drive train(I think). I have gone through a lot of water, deep enough to go up over the belt housing and have had no trouble.
