I am pretty sure he is just busting your stones. I think we all agree that the 700 is a kick *** bike. The pink-plastic comments are just jokes. Yamaha would never issue a Rappy wiith pink plastic. Everyone knows that pink and blue just don't "work" together. Maybe a light shade of lavender?

You are correct. I had to put a lot of money into mine just to get it to the performance level of the 700, way less than buying a new 700. But, it only took the basic stuff not counting the craycraft porting to get it to smoke a 700. Pipe, compression, cam.

If Yamaha would put a 11:1 and a decent cam in that thing, it would live up to expectations. I was very excited to ride one after hearing the hype, but very dissapointed afterwards. It made me think of all the stuff I had to do to my 660 to get it right. The 700 is no different. The bar is set a little higher now. I guess I keep waiting for a great factory quad, and haven't found one.

I also noticed that a lot of chicks own a 700. Goofy chicks. That's what started that.

 

My Wife is looking at the 700R so, I guess there's one more vote for it being a Chick Bike. . .

Then again she has a 2003 Raptor so, there's a vote for it being a Chick bike too.

Come to think of it. . . most of the ladies in our group ride Raptor's so. . . definitely a chick bike.

Only guys in our group ride DS 650's so, that must be the Man's ride. . .

Then again, maybe if we had some real tall fat chicks in our group the DS would be more of a Chick Bike. . . . Thank goodness the Raptor is the Chick bike in our group [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]


One of the girls that used to ride in our group bought a YFZ when they first came out. She said there were a lot of guys at the hill that would ask her how she liked her "Boyfriends / Husband's" Bike. LMAO. . . There are more Chicks riding the YFZ in our group than men so, I guess that's a Chick Bike too.

I think chicks like the 700R because it's a lot like a Geo Metro with its warning lights and beeps. It makes them feel safe.

 

MasterRaptor, you may be onto something here. I don't own a 700R or a Geo Metro but, I like the way the 700R looks and I used to date a girl who drove a Geo Metro. That is just too much of a coincidence to overlook.
Do you think the fact that I used to watch Melrose Place has anything to do with it?

The best mod for a 700 is a basket for the handle bars, pink stringy things hanging out of the grips, and a ring bell. Cha ching cha ching.
