If I had the mods you had and I beat a 700r by only 3 lengths I'd be pissed!!! My piped 450r only loses by 2-3 lengths to my buddies 700r, and he's a better rider.

you should get a predator... I saw a predator bored out to a 5000... and it's ultra fast.... with 22" rims! If you put wings on it... it would fly!
sorry... just had to say it before someone else...
450r, yfz450, rappy700... all good bikes... I wouldn't go off the advice of people you don't know... try to at least sit on all of them... you really need to drive them all to make a good decision...

.....The yfz if you are an aggressive rider, and the 700 if you want a ton of torque and a comfy machine to boot. Its hands down the best trail quad made.
As far as trx vs yfz, well I went the yfz route, as everthing I have EVER read says the yfz WAY outhandles the trx. Thats every mag and internet shootout that pretty much has exsisted from 04-06!
As far as power, there is NO denying that the 04-05 yfz was faster then a 04-05 trx. In 06, the honda got some good upgrades in the motor department and its "suppose" to be dead even with the yfz, according to a HORRIBLE shootout of the two in dirt wheels. Wish I could speak on the 06 models, but I cant! All I know, is as far as power goes they should be close now. As far as handling goes the yfz still has the nod!
Nothing the aftermarket cant fix, and not enough of a difference where personal preference cant over look the short comings of the honda.
Good luck in your choice. I think for 2006, you cant go wrong! Look at the new z450 while your at it!
