I have a couple questions on the yamaha grizzly.
Do you have to put a lift kit on for the 26 and 27" tires? Plus how good is the acceleration and mudding capability with just the stock tires?

Well about the lift KIT question. Because the Grizzly has one of the best fender clearance you can put 28 inch tires without a lift i've been told.
For the mudding capabilities with Stock tires, alot of the machine is driving capabilities. I have seen a bomb XT with the Blackwaters get stuck and i made it through with my stock Grizzly, why i ride aggressively especially in MUD and he didn't.
But don't get me wrong you get a good MUD tire and they say it really helps too. I highly recomend the KENDA BEAR CLAWS, the are great in mud and wear nice when on hard packed surfaces and they don't make your machine ride too rough either.
2000 Green Grizz.
Want power ride a GRIZZLY.

Have 28" Vamps on both of my grizzlies without a lift kit. I did however add a clutch kit for oversized tires.

How tough is the clutch kit to install and what does it do to offset the oversized tires? Is it expensive?

I have 27 inch blackwaters on my 2000 grizz with black and chrome ITP rims. The blackwaters are good all around tires but I think there are better choices out there such as the titan 589's.
For pure mudding go with either the vamps or outlaws.

I was just about to purchase some 27" Blackwater's for my Grizzly. Was is it that you don't like about them, why the 589's ?
The Outlaw's and Vamps are for pure mudding, I thought the Blackwater's were a nice middle of the road tire - good for trails and aggresive enough for goop.
