2001 Raptor Faster Than Banshee?
#1
Well I've been out of the ATV Market for a few years now and I am looking to purchase a new one and start riding again. I was going to get a Banshee but I just found out that Yamaha makes the Raptor and it looks awesome!
I also like the size of the the engine of course
But anyways I am a pretty hefty guy 6' 2" 275lbs so I think a larger wquad like the Raptor would be better suited for me anyways.
I was just wondering is the Raptor overall faster than a Banshee stock Vs Stock?
Also around what price does the Raptor usually go for at dealers?
Thanks,
Dustin

Hey 69Porshe. I currently own a raptor and my brother-in-law just bought a 2001 banshee. He put on toomey pipes, got a new airbox and rejetted and I must say that after riding both, his felt faster. We didn't race so I can't say for sure, maybe it was the way the power came on. Don't get me wrong, the raptor is incredibly fast with great low end. But if you like two-strokes though, I would get the banshee. However, if you read some of the previous posts about the CT Racing exaust kit for the raptor it is said that it will increase the HP to around 50. If that is true, then you should be able to beat just about any banshee and you would have the ease of a 4-stroke and a better suspension as well.
By the way, his was 6,900 out the door with the mods and mine was 6,850 all stock.
