Dumping Gas

if ur running a 2 stroke, u might have to much oil in the gas? just my guess...u can take off ur exhaust and burn out the inside with a small torch or something to try and get some build up out, cause that could be whats comming out.

I'm running 50:1 but I plan on going to 32:1
I would keep it at 40 to 50 and check the plug and see if it is gas or oil fouled. If your running 50 to 1 your going to have a float/needle seat problem of some type.

I'll keep it at 50:1 I was just having a little backfiring problem, there was a rubber gasket that was under the carb cap that holds the throttle linkage that was all tore up. and I wasnt sure if that would have been letting in air or not. I guess I'll keep it at 50:1 that makes the most sense... I'd beable to see if I was loosing oil out of the transmission......
what kind of problems to the float/ needle and seat do you mean by running 50:1???

Sorry about that, what I mean by "if your running 50 to 1 your going to have a float/needle seat problem of some type" is, it's not a oil/gas ratio problem. If you told me you were, running something like a 20 to 1 mix then I would say your way fat on the oil to gas ratio and that is more than likely your problem.
mywifesquad could be right on the money with the seal issue.
The best way to tell if it's one of the other is use your nose. Does it smell gas rich out the pipe? Does smell like burning oil (tranny oil)? Does it feel boggy like it has a ton of gasoline running through it?
If it is a gas issue, you need to take the carbs off and clean them. Could be something as simple as trash in the seat. Could be the float set a touch too high?
Problem is only you can make the call. Myself and other can only point you in the right dirrection.

So this problem is only on one cylinder? I would do a compression test on both sides to set a baseline. If one side is way lower than the other, you could be due for a topend rebuild. You can clean the carbs all day but it won't fire right if you are running way under 120psi. Once the compression checks out OK then work down the list. Do you rejet for the weather? It may sound like a dumb question but, not everyone knows this if they just bought their first modded quad. The only way it should be running rich at idle is via the choke, pilot or a warn or maybe miss set needle..if it is way warn or rich. Since the pilot screw helps controls the amount of air at idle, I would take a very close look at it on the side that is giving you problems. See how many turns out the screw is on the good side and set the bad side to the same. Stock is 2 turns out so you may need to come out a tad more. It never hurts to take the whole carb apart and clean it but, do one side at a time and make sure you don't mix up the slides. A history of how the motor ran up until this point may be more helpful.
