raptor problems

ok this is for a buddy at work.


he has a 93 or 94 raptor and he can be out riding and all of a sudden it just dies like you have turned the swith off.he still has head lights and all his other lights,cranks over but it just will not start.i don't know if the plug is firing or not i have not looked at it yet but i didn't know if that year raptor had some kind of problem like that.

well they didnt make raptors in 93 or 94. they started making them in 2001.

lol..oh yeah that could be the problem.see i'm stuck in the after years...it ia a 03 or 04...lol

Default raptor problems

Probably the CDI. Check connections before replacing. RMstator has a great replacement for cheap. Check Ebay.

that was my first thought but i didn't think it would do it ever so often i figured it would jsut be fried and not start.

Default raptor problems

CDIs can act up. It's not always go or no go. RMstator says to call them on their web site. They will help with troubleshooting.

It could be other things like coil or connections, but it's nice to get an aftermarket CDI with out the reverse limiter anyway. So, if the CDI wasn't the problem, then you are still ahead.
