banshee only smoking on one side! help???
Hi I got this banshee about 3 weeks ago and when i start it i only smokes on one side. its running stock carbs with 330 jets. the motor is race ported, fmf pipes kand N filters higher compression. When sitting on the bike its the right side cylinder, and the pipe on this side doesnt warm up like the left side. Its getting spark and fuel, i tried ajusting the idle on the carb and didn't change any thing. PLEASE HELP!!!

well 115 isn't much for a high compression banshee. But the other guy might be right with your crankseal. he looks like hes tore into his banshee pretty exstensivly. might wanna take some carb spray and spray around your seals when its idiling and see if anything changes. You know the drill i'm sure.

The crank seal is between the crank and the case.
And you could check your plunger needle on your carb, maybe you could adjust them up or down to richen or lean out on top or bottom. if you don't know the carbs good, it may be wise to take it to a shop. Sometimes its gets a little frustrating. I had a 250r with some issuses.

LOL going from a bike like he has to a 4 stroke would be like going from a ferrari to a Ford festiva....the nice things about 2 strokes you'll find for the most part they are VERY easy to work on and parts arent too overpriced. Try rebuilding a 4 stroker...what a nightmare. I would check the seals hell...you could pull the motor and split the case...might as well weld the crank while you're in there If its not welded youll wish it wouldve been when that crank starts to walk, now that would be an expensive repair. Its a good idea to have it welded with the mods you listed.
