And what is everybody's problem with v6 stangs? You've all made it abundantly obvious that you've never drove one, because if you did you'd realize they really aren't that far behind a v8, especially the 99-and up after the intake manifold, throttle body, and headers were redesigned to bump the power up to 225 hp. If you ask me, 225 is plenty of power for a car of that size.

if i go for a mustang i know i need a light trailer, i just got a few questions, should i get like a 2000-2004 mustange v6 or a 1980s 5.0 cobra, or a mid 90s mustang. i was also thinkin about a dodge ram 1500 or a truck like that size but they guzzle gas, im not sure aobut the mustang on gas but i know most trucks are gas guzzlers

Tourqe and gearing is what pulls a trailer, not HP. a lot of people are giving you their opinon here, so if you don't like the comment because you just truly want a mustang stop getting mad. Do you want advice or a pissing match? Sounds like you want everyone to offer reasons to approve your decision and not an opinion, you're going to get comments back you won't like. Just listen and move on. Buy your Mustang and take your uneducated risk. There is reason people tow trailers with trucks. I hope you don't get hurt orworse hurt someone else.

For a daily driver i'd go for a 94-present v6. They aren't quite as fast as a 5.0, but the newer stangs have a better ride, corner better, get better gas mileage, and are better refined all-around. I got about 25-28 mpg with my v6, for a v8 you're probably looking more around 14-18, depending on how you drive. Anything you get though, you gotta get a 5 speed, the automatics just aren't nearly as fun to drive.
If it was unsafe to tow a trailer with a mustang ford would tell you that. If it says it can safely tow 1000 lbs in the manual, it can defintely tow 1000 lbs without a problem. If it wasn't safe for towing ford wouldn't give a towing limit.
And trust me, even though it isn't a v8, it still drives like a mustang should. The 3.8 is a very torquey motor, and will smoke the tires without even trying.

Yes, I have. 3 of them actually. A 89 GT, a 94, and I took a 99 for a test drive. Yeah, they have more power than the v6 does, but that doesn't mean a v6 sucks, its still more powerful than most cars.
I wish I still had mine, but I totaled it when I was 16 about 5 months after I got my driver's licence. It's been 4 years and i'm still stuck with a ford escort gt, it's just not my kind of car. If it wasn't a great car I wouldn't be hellbent on getting another one.
