Default Raptor 660 NEVERMORE!

Went out for a ride yesterday with my buddies after my best friend came back from miami to live for good, he bought a 03 le rappy 660r while he was down there for a dang good price so he took it to yamaha and they went through the engine did a valve job and beefed it internally (better valves, new titanium piston, ect.) 1,300.00 worth of work and parts to make it scream, he broke it in correctly and we went riding, long story short the circlips either wasn't installed correctly of was faulty because it came out and the wristpin slid over enough to let it come out of the piston skirt and destroy the piston, crack the cylinder bent the rod to a 45 degree angle, all the large pieces of piston went down in the cases and destroyed the main bearings an the crank, (completely pulverized the engine from the head down. now yamaha of miami wont accept responsibilty for there mistake and hes gonna need a new motor. any suggestions the cases seem "ok" haven't split the yet but no exterior damage or leaks. man this sucks

Not to kick you why your down but NEVER let a dealer work on your motor!!! If the wrench at the dealership is any good, he would be working at a custom shop, not at a dealership doing oil changes. Hopefully other newbies will see your post and can learn. Sorry about your motor.
