Street legal question
One reason why many people can not get their quads street legal is because the frame on the quad is stamp with off road use only. My buddy and I have research into this issue big time. We found out that there is a length requirement, of course headlights, turn signals, Odmeter, brakelight, horn, and Street Tires. That's the big one the tires. You have to get a title, registeration, and insurance. You can get the insurance through Progressive for street insurance. Now I would call your local DMV and Police station to figure out how to make them both happy on you ridin your quad on the road. Like I said before though. The only reason why the DMV would say no is because of the stamp on the Frame.
See I have a 750cc street motor in a quad frame. Sweet as hell. I'm moving to Kansas in June. You better believe I will probably make the news cause I will find a hole in the system and get my stuff straight to ride on the road. Mine is alittle different though. It's longer and dropped to the ground. But anyways. Those are the things you need to research locally. You don't have to say it's a quad. For all they know it a Dune Buggy you know. If you need anymore suggestions just write back. I subscribe to this thread. And Good Luck! SSG Jacobs US ARMY
