sell me on the raptor 700
I don't see how people could get the new 700R OTD for 6500.. Yamaha has put a $6999.00 sticker on these machines, add in sales tax and your still well over the $6500.00 mark even if you did get somewhat of a deal... I'm in Washington and I got mine for $8100 OTD with some riding gear.. (HJC Helment, Oakley Goggles, 2 sets of Thor Gloves).

sell me on the raptor 700
Avg. Southern Calif. Good guy price OTD. $6900 Thru $7200 Depending on where you live and how much time and fuel you want to burn up. I bought mine for $7200. The Largest dealership in SO. CAL. is LA. Honda and they move the most inventory ,also have the best prices @ around $7000. I think You would be hard pressed to find one in Chicago for $6500
I have owned a ltz400 which is the same as the 400 Kawi and liked the handeling and over all feel alot. In compairision the 700 feels a little heavy in a turn and the front end isnt nearly as light as your 400 . In short the 700 has a little more weight and alot more power and handeles great once you get a feel. Hope yur able to get one! Let us know what happens this weekend Chicago!
Buy the way I'm from Chicago area

sell me on the raptor 700
in my younger days i road a yz250, frends rode kx500's
i'm an older rider(and heaver!) now, i just want to have fun.
this thing is a Cadillac!!! i keep up with those guys and dont get beat up like i used to!
plus i can putt with the kids all day long with on wories of loading it up!
this is the perfect bike for my situation, i did'nt want an all out race machine(yfz, banshee)which i considered for a long wile.i had my heart set on a banshee for a long time but this was the better all around choice. no regrets
fuel injection is a big +, no carb to mess with, reverse and eletric start are great!! no more kick starts for me!!
plenty of power to kill you 5 times over!!
and the after market has just begun!
it all depends on how you ride, its a question each one of us has to answer our selfs.
i made the right choice for me.
i'm sure you'll make the right choice for you.
