Does anyone out there know how do rig-up a speedometer on the raptor? Apparently there is no speedomter available from Yamaha. The techometer is available but is too small to read at higher speeds. Any help would be appreciated.

You will probably have to rig up a bicycle speedo. Your best bet would be a GPS unit that has a speed readout.

I put a Cateye Enduro bicycle computer on my Raptor. It is a simple installation if you are mechanically inclined. You have to fabricate an L bracket to mount the pickup sensor (which is pretty simple) and lengthen the sensor wire(which is also pretty simple). I mounted the L bracket to the backing plate located behind the brake caliper. I just had to drill two small holes in it to mount the L bracket. I attached the pick up magnet to the inner side of the front rim. The computer unit's clamp that comes with it fastens easily the the stock handlebars. I mounted mine just to the inside of the clutch perch. Total time for installation was about 30 minutes. The computer costs $29.95 and is available at most bike stores.
