replacing banshee seal

Default replacing banshee seal

is there anyway to replace the shifter seal on a 98 banshee without splitting the case

I screwed a couple of drywall screws into the old one and popped it right out.Just make sure the shift shaft is very clean.I think I pushed the new one on with a socket about the same size as the seal

i thought f that but had to see if anyone did it before.so it worked didnt leak after wards

No leaks at all.A little grease will probably help it slide a little easier.
