Who owns a Raptor in SouthEastern Wisconsin
#4
I find it interesting to talk with people in the same state. Sometimes our western and southern friends do not understand cold and the impact on jetting. I just wanted to see how your's was running in the cold weather. Have you changed anything, Jetting? I just picked mine up and I am concerned that the jetting is too cold to even consider breakin until I jet up. any advice would be appreciated.

Hi 300,
As long as you ride a quad, I don't care what brand you ride. I was just looking for some jetting info for the cold weather. In the past I have run a 2stroke, This is my first thumper in a while...When the temp drops down to freezing, what kind of changes do you make? go up 1 or 2 on the main, pull the needle up 1 or 2 positions, richen the fuel screw or maybe go up on the pilot? I'd appreciate your feedback.

My Raptor acted a little funny. the stock jetting isnt right. i would try changing the needle positon and adjusting the idle mixture screw. i cant say what jetting to run cause i have a pipe on it and have mine jetted way up. I would also like to get together with some people and go riding sometime. My old riding crew is pretty much all gone.
