Speed 2006 50 raptor
#1
Just bought the Yamaha 06 50cc raptor. Dealer said it goes 25mph but this one only gets 10mph. Took it back and dealer refused to remove the speed restrictor. Anyone know how to do that. Thanks

hi ldousn congrats on the 50 purches never mind what the dealer guy say they really dont have much of a clue. ok here we go one check out raptor80racing.com thats is the place for parts for your 50 . two start by cutting your slide in the carb so it wil open all the way instead of half way like it does in stock form. three cut the cable connect for the throtle so it will push forward further allwoing your vlave to open all the way. tfour get the cdi box five jet kit six pipe and header seven widing kit for the front and rear . eight slightly taller tires for slightly higher top speed nine protaper mini bars for better grip for the youngster instead of those stock ape hangers and if you want you can take out eight of the twelve roller ***** in the cvt tranny and get a faster take off speed oh yeah light kit is fun to ads to the visiblety . i have doen all of this to my sons quad and it rips every sunday when i take him out to our local riding area i get a ton of comments and quastions on his ride never mind my 660 . the whole thing has really worked out well we have never had a problem even with all of the mods the little ride just keeps going and going oh and a few of us are tweeking the idea of droping 3 speed tranny from 80 cc raptors in a 50 looks like every thing is gonna line up for the fit allright hope this answers your qustions happy ridding

I got this info from another web site. When I took this info to the dealer he just looked at me and ordered up some extra parts.
