Why does everybody say that the 450 are fast? Like I would bet you pipe,intake and jetted both and the 700 will kill a 450.Stop show offing the 450 please,cos its just a mx bike

Oz, on what do you base the statement that "Raptors are just too slow"? I am curious as to what you ride.

 

According to Yamaha the stock Raptor 700 is a bit faster than the stock YFZ450.
So who are you going to believe. Someone who is just running off at the mouth with no proof or the people who build the quad.

450's are not what they are cracked up to be on the strip! they are quick out of the hole, but thats about it! I havent had too much trouble with them! when modded the honda gives me a better run!

 

Actually the Raptor would be a better choice compared to the 450. The Raptor has much more HP potential.

 

Stock DS650's eat 450's all day and there is no reason a 700 rappy can't. =] just my .02¢

 

Exactly! the raptor has way more horsepower potential 2.....so for drag race=raptor and mx or any other kind of racing=yfz

 

Yes, I agree. And I might add that I have had a chance to ride both. And both are GREAT quads. In my opinion you can't go wrong with either one!
