Anyways i think the Honda is the way to go, 250ex is a VERY reliable quad, pheonix is ehhh, not so great, suzuki is a good quad, id go honda ... But whatever you can get a better price on, then with the money you save buy a pipe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Not on the 05' but you can on the 06'

crazybone you would have a better machine if you bought a used 250ex then a new pheonix

 

Well if you're leaning more toward a polaris maybee you should also check out the Trailblazer 250 or the slightly less sporty Trailboss 330, the Phoenix is just way to novice, you will get bored of it fast.

 

I agree with you 100%, the pheonix isn't exactly a thriller. The trailblazer isn't anything amazing either, but at least it can hold it's own against other 250's.

 

I've seen a few people on here who have added on to their T/B 250's to make em sporty, he'd still be better of w/ the 250ex IMO but w/e, his quad, his choice.

 

I read, on here, there was a 300cc kawasaki or suzuki based on the same motor as the z 250. Probable fit, if it really is the same motor with the same stroke. So if you started getting bored with that you could change the top end and have an extra 50cc. Not to mention you'd be buying the pieces seperately, so you'd go with the hi-perf cam and stuff for the 300.
Plus there are a ton of hop up parts already available AND doesn't that one have the sport clutch as well, or am I thinking of an available conversion?

 

PS, if you're going for the 200-250cc range you could always check out a used trx250r or lt250r
