Are you talking about the studs coming off the carb? How'd you manage to strip those out?

if you are talking about the two bolts that go on the slide cover, the same thing happened to mine. i used small vise grips to get them out, then used a hack saw to make a new grove in the bolts to make it work with a flat head screwdriver.

Awesome! What is the ballon like gasket? If I cant lock a pair of vice grips on them I will take the hack saw an cut the slot in them.

It's a known problem. Happened on my Warrior too. The stock phillip's head screws are a soft metal and whimpy. Best thing is to replace them all with steel alan head screws, especially if you're getting into your carb often to re-jet or whatever. Just had the RB carb mod done on my Banshee and Ron Black was kind enough to replace them all for me. I have no idea why Yamaha does that, but it is a b#$@$tch.

Oops! I meant allen-head. Gosh, being a medical transcriptionist, I can spell duodenojejunostomy, but I can't even get ALLEN head right. Anyway....your local Yamaha dealer or motorcycle shop should have them, or even the hardware store. Probably quicker and cheaper. If you'd rather go on-line, try this RB Designs Mr. Black will set you up with whatever it is you need.
