Raptor owners we all have to get together and try to get yamaha to get there act together and put a recall on raptors for their junk worthless stock axle. Every time i or anyone i have talked to jupms their raptor more than a couple of feet the axle bends. I realy think this is rediculous. If someone has any ideas on how we can remidy this please post. I just dont want to go all the way to the dunes and be stuck broken cause i jumped my quad. Other wise besides the axle no complaints its a great bike.

I have a solution..........Get a real axle like a durablue or a dominator. The Raptor is way too narrow in the rear anyways.

The axle seems fine to me and i have landed pretty hard on some jumps to be able to bottom out the shock on the softest setting and i only weigh 140lbs. Seems like some of u guys are riding a lot harder than me to break a-arms and axles and i ride pretty hard!

Looks to me like the Raptor axle is the same as the banshee axle. Why are we not hearing about bent banshee axles? I think that there are a few people on this post who are hitting the upper edge of the design. I'm sure that every quad out there has similar problems and that this occurrance does not warrant a recall.

No problems here.runs fine. No bent anything.Like someone said same axle as a shee.We do not here about them bending axle. These guys must be jumping with a washing machine on the back.

Me neither. I haven't had any problems at all with mine and I ride it fairly hard and weigh 220#'s. I've bottomed out the suspension multiple times front and rear off some pretty high jumps. I've even stiffened up the preload front and rear and no bend anything. Try landing flat.
Raptors Rule!!!

I didn't even give my cheesy-looking axle a chance to bend. Replaced mine with a dura-blue axle, and it's great! I didn't like the narrow width of the stock unit anyway. I'll be glad to sell my stock axle to anyone who wants it though!
