You guy's are very comical. I've rode a modified Ds650, a modified 400ex, and a stock raptor. And out of the three of them the DS 650 would be my last pick, to hevy. The raptor has very good power but could use a little help in the suspension department. The 400ex lacks power but has good suspension.

And with the right amount of money they could all be equal.

For me the raptor is positioned the best for future upgrades.

Well, I went in and put down a deposit on a blue raptor. There was a guy ahead of me in line for it, but he gave up this raptor for one in february. All I had to do was trade him some salmon and halibut for it... hehe.

If anyone has any suggestions for good mods, let me know. I have an idea of what I want to do to it, starting off with full skid and a-arm plates for it.

Anyone know it CT Racing finished up on that 60hp raptor engine kit.

I'm also getting the skid plates for under the bike and the swing arm (as my plastics ones are taking a beating). I see alot of people getting A-arm plates as well. I understand how the first two skid plates protect the engine, sprockets and disc brake. But what does an A-Arm plate do? I would think it's just a big mud collector on tail rides.

Just put the money down, if you dont like it or change your mind you can sell it easily, or trade for a banshee.

A-arm guards will help keep sticks or logs from getting jammed up inside your a-arms, which can damage your shocks. The main reason is to limit impact damage to the lower part of the lower a-arm tubes from rocks and other obstacles. They are worth it.

Do the Raptor, you will LOVE it.Ive had mine for about 2 months now and I ride every weekend and not 1 problem.Or you can by a DS650 and HATE it like I did.Talk about a joke of a quad, too wide to go through the trails and too heavy to pull out when you get stuck. After I traded my ds in on a 400ex I was in heaven. Now that I have a Raptor life is SWEET!!!!!Buy it and if you dont like it sell it and buy a 400ex.They are both great machines but stay away from the Yellow submarine unless you like wasting your money because you will end up losing money when you rid the Bomber.
