I am about to put some money down on a Raptor, but I have some questions for those of you that own and ride them.

I've heard that they have a high CG... does this make the quad real tippy in the corners? Would aftermarket shocks help fix this? SCS or ZPS shocks, that is?

What are these tranny problems that I've heard whispers about? I figured that the stock axle would have to be replaced anyways, but what about those aluminum upper a-arms?

I will put down my deposit today but I have two weeks, before the quad gets here, to get my money back if I change my mind.

Thanks for the help.

You won't get your money back if you put it on deposit. Unless of course you got 'Connections'.

Or whould you rather take Davey-boy's advice and buy an ugly, overbuilt, overweight, front heavy can't-wheelie-if-I-tried, no reverse, barco-lounger on wheels? Oh well, at least you can travel all the way from Alaska and compete in the Baja 1000 if you want to! Which bike do you think works better where you live? Now who did you say was KING?

Please go to the Bombardier forum or some other. You think your ATV is the best. You've made you're point. Your critical remarks about the Raptor are getting very old.

Don't worry, you CAN get your deposit back if you want to. About the Raptor, I have one and think it's one of the best out there. I have had it for about a month now, and have had no problems, axle, a-arms or tranny. It does come with a warranty. So, I wouldn't worry. To me, it's well worth the $. The reverse comes in really handy!!!

I have had mine for about a month, i had a clutch problem riding up a rocky mountain trail, my buddys never had a problem. neather one of us have had a problem with the axle,or Aarms. The reverse is a little hard to use since it is very high, and it is a little high center in cornering.
But we both think it is a great machine and agree it was worth the wait and money!!

PS Hope this helps more then the other post here!!!!
