ME and my friend had just bought our first sport quads a few months ago. I bought a brand new 2005 yfz450 SE and he bought a popo outlaw. My yfz has the cam mod on it and the outlaw has holeshot XC tires. The race was at a rock quary with loose grave about 500 yards. We raced 4 times. 2 from a dead stop and two rolling starts. I beat him both times in the dead stop race by about 2 quad lengths. In the rolling start race he beat me once because of a bad start. In the second rolling starts I beat him by about 3-4 quad lengths. The outlaw has a higher top speed only by about 2 mph but I beat him in aceleration every time.

 

Another Yamaha rider posting a "kill" you really should be embarrased about, not bragging about.

I wasnt braging about me beating him. Any way that same day another kid with a 04 yfz with a gytr pipe raced the outlaw and only beat it about 2 lengths the same as me and Ive only got the cam mod not new cams.

Its the same tranny and motor as a TLD pretty much with a lil more weight.. Its a very interesting quad no doubt. Can't wait to ride one. Maybe you should consider the fact that you are slow...

Like I said, let's see what the rest of the YFZ riders have to say when they see you are barely beating an Outlaw.

 

I think it's just good to know where the new Outlaw stands... I have yet to even see one... I was wanting to check one out, and perhaps even ride it if I got the chance... I'm curious to know how well the IDS on the rear handles wheelies and jumps....
