Default HOW TO MAKE MY BLASTER FASTER

Not to be a negative nancy are just trying to disagree, but there is much better 240 kits than the Vito's....I think there is a tripple exhaust on the Vito's but that is about thats all going for it..In all honesty vito's is probably the bottom of the line for 240 cylinders.. The CT sonic/LA sleeve 240 cylinder is a much better buy..The CT sonic kit is putting out 42 hp to the ground and that is with stock stroke..Anyways like i said not trying to be negative or disagree with you but vito's would be my last choice if i was shopping for a 240 kit..And like i said b4 he dosn't have the cash to get everything needed to run the 240 properly..With that list i made up he would be more than happy with power gains

I agree for the most part but wouldn't get the big bore..Mainly because that would take up most of his budget and he wouldnt' get the things needed to make the big bore run right like carb and such..I would get some good porting like CPcustoms, hetrick or SMS..Sign up at a blaster site like planetblaster or project blaster so you can take advantage of there classified section..That way you may be able to find somebody selling the performance parts you want at a lower price than brand new..
OK im going to buy what you just said. But im a a newbie on mechanical work, so do you know a place that sells what you said above, and comes with an instuction manuel, if not ill get my brother to do it for me. Thanks.

Also with all these modifications with my fourweeler burn or save gas

big bore kit from trenga,
porting from trenga,
lrd full pipe,
14 tooth front sproket,
38 tooth rear sproket,
K&n filter with outerwears,
22 in. rear tires,

That will proabably cost a bit more like a hundred bucks or something But that should get you to keep up with a banshee and smoke a stock 400ex and keep up maybe beat a stock z400.
Correct me if im wrong ( seriously im a noob), i though a smaller sprocket gave you more speed or acceleration?

It will burn more gas but nothing to bad..

Here is a couple links that should help you..This is one to a repair manual for the blaster

Repair manual

For the porting
www.CPcustoms.com

For the pipes try and a few of the other things try a blaster forum to buy used
www.planetblaster.org

And then my favorite

Anyways this would be my 1000 list

Used LRD,phantom, CT, or toomey pipe on a blaster forum $250

CP porting and head milled/rechambered for more compression) $250

Rear Turf tamer's(rear tires would be my first purchase if your still running stockers) $125

34mm PJ 250R carb(good choice becuase huge power gains, easy to tune, and $75
people sell them on ebay all the time for much cheaper than the air stryker 35mm's..

Front/Rear sprocket changes to 14/38 like mentioned above $50

KFX, 400ex, Z400, or DVX 400 rear shocks are all good cheap swaps for the blaster $75
The above shocks are completly adjustable and soak up ton's more and give the
blaster a much better ride!

Banshee front shocks are also a better upgrade than the blaster shocks..I know
people who run COMPETITIVELY at MX with the banshee front shocks and the above
400 rear shocks.. $75

Set of better handlebars..Depeding upon how well you shop you would have to $25-50
Settle with FLY's are be able to get pro tapers

Now that set up would haul some ***!..Depending upon choices you would just about double your horsepower..Probably take you from 17rwhp to low to mid 30's..

Anyways thats the list i would make..But whatever you do i would consider the 400 rear shock and the banshee front..As it is when it's on the showroom the blaster is already way to fast for it's suspension, and the above shocks do a very very good job...Anyways good luck with whatever you decide..After adding all them horses your gonna need a new swingarm for the next round of mod's..Otherwise them front tires will stay in the air constantly

Okay a bigger front sprocket in will give you more speed, smaller in front more accel, opposite for rear.

Bigger rear sprocket more accel, smaller rear sprocket more top end. The front sprocket is the most gains either way. If you have to fine tune it then do the fine tuning with the rear sprocket.

hehe..You already have a flywheel..Some people lighten there flywheels to get the motor into the powerband quicker..THat is the big bennifit, the con to it is that depending upon how much you remove your going to get more wheel spin..I had 7oz's taken off mine becuase mine was just a beefed up trail bike but you can have up to 10oz's removed..Anyways if you have it in your budget to do it, go for it and if not just twist it's ear a little more lol..

What is the stock size of the flyweel, on a 2001 blaster (YFS200N), becuase i goign to get a lighter flyweel for quicker powerband, also when you say more wheel spin, do you mean, like burnouts, or easier donuts

There all the same size stock..Not sure of exact weight but most builders offer 5, 7 or 10oz's removed..5 for trails 7 for MX and 10 for drag..Yes when i mean wheel spin the tires will break free easier in loose trails becuase of the power coming on quicker..
