Default New 450 Wolverine?

I've got a friend who's looking into buying one. Anybody got one or seen one in action? I told him I'd ask, so any info would be good. Thanks!!

I have one a love it. I haven't heard anyone that has one say anything bad about it. I think that your friend will be 100% satisfied with his choice.

He really likes to deer hunt-so I feel like the lack of real racks will be a major downfall. Are there any aftermarket ones for it? He rides MUCH more sporty than UTEY but wants something to haul out deer. He has an AWESOME price on a new 800 Sportsman,-- from where else--Chattanooga. ( $6,400 ) out the door!!!! That's a great price, but to me a Polaris is only good for pulling and mudding. They do ride very good though!!! He can get the new Wolvey for $5,400. What kinda speeds are you gettin?

Yeah Chattanooga prices are hard to beat. I got mine up to 55 yesterday. I put an HMF slip-on pipe on mine too though. The lack of racks would make carrying out a deer a pain. The only rack that I have seen for it is a six pack rack made by yamaha.

I have 06 wolverine and I can not believe you got it up to 55. How do you like the slip on pipe? Is it loud now? how much? Where did you get it from?

thanks
Steve

I ordered the HMF pipe directly from HMF's website. I am very happy with it, and it is pretty loud. If you don't want a loud pipe, they make a quite core to put in it. Has anyone put a clutch kit in a 450 yet? I can't remember how much it was, but I think it was about $225.

I bet if you put a k/n filter and a jet with a clutch kit with your hmf pipe you may be able to get it up to the high 50's low 60's. that would be cool

I am in the market for a wolvy 450 as soon as I get out of school and sell the warrior.

I have about 200 miles on my 450 wolverine and I think it is all around the best quad out there for riding in the woods. Its not the type of quad that your gonna use for hunting or plowing your driveway. Its also not the type of quad that you can race on a motocross track. But, as far as riding in the woods over all kinds of terrain you can't get a better or faster quad. This quad walks all over utility quads in the woods because it is much lighter and sportier. And as far as going up against sport quads its awesome because it will go through all types of stuff that sport quads can't make it through like deep water, mud, big rocks, and steep hills. The four wheel drive works great. In my opinion there is nothing else like it out there except for the polaris but everybody knows that polaris doesn't compare to yamaha.
