If I wanted to make my Raptor 700 faster by just changing the sprocket size, what size would I go to? Front and back both.

A 13 tooth front sprocket would make it faster but you sacrifice some topend.

Will a 13 tooth make it rev out faster in each gear? I mainly ride in 2nd & 3rd most of the time and don't want to move up to 3rd and 4th.

............yeah, a 13 tooth is going to gear you really really short. You'll most likely get blown off the trail by a raptor 350/ warrior in topspeed.
I dont think its a good idea personally! All you are going to do is create a wheel spin problem AND add onto the already exsistant wheelie problem!
I bet a stock geared one would end up beating you, cause your front end is either going to go sky-ward, or just spin the tires.....or a healthy combonation both! If you have modded your 700 at all, I would recomend gearing it taller if anything.....taking 1 or two off the back. You want to avoid wheel spin and wheeling.

When I put 22 inch tires on mine (for GC), the bike was about unridable in the tight woods around here. I would have worn out the clutch in no time.

I went to a 13T front, and it made a world of difference. Now you can lug the bike down a little without feathering the clutch. It's not uncontrollable wheel spin, and its not a wheelie machine. It is very common for woods riders to gear down. I do not not notice much decrease in top end.

Front sprockets are cheap, and only take a few minuted to install. Try one out and see for yourself. If 13T is too much, you can also go back the 14, and put on a 39 or 40 rear for something in between.

If drag racing, or top speed is your thing, then by all means don't go to a smaller front, or bigger rear, do the opposite.

Well for you I can see why you went with a 13, cause you made another masive gear change with tires. You gain approx 7mph with 22's. You gain/ loose 8-9mph with a 1 tooth change to the counter sprocket. Thats what I found on the yfz anyway, and they have the same gearing and tire sizes.

One thing I dont understand you doing is going to 22's for the sake of "cg". Center of gravity is going to be higher on yours making it want to tip more in corners. Going down to an 18 inch tire (whcih you would never want to do for trails) will lower the cg making it handle better and not so tipsy.
Just a heads up!

I said GC (ground clearance), not CG, lol.

Actually, I don't find the bike to be tipsy, even on 22's

Most local AWRCS and hare scramblers run 22's, simply because of the knarly terrain. The rocks, roots, and ruts around here raise hell on skids, a little extra clearance is a good thing.

I realize that tire size changes gearing, which is why I suggested a 39 or 40 rear for a smaller change rather than the 13 front.
