i got 2 questions

1. i just bought a k&n air filter and i was told that it should increase the torque and horsepower...has anyone bought one and noticed any changes?

2. when i remove the top of the air box their is a little bit of gas running down near the air filter..i was told that it might be the carb. just letting a little gas out..but im not sure if this is dangerous..any advice?

a k&n filter wont give you a noticable increase in power unless you put a pipe on and re-jet. It might actually make you run a little on the lean side, but i doubt that if it still has the stock exhaust.

as far as the gas thing, if there is gas coming out of the carb into the airbox, then the carb is overflowing, either the float is bad, or the float valve is faulty. Make sure it isnt oil coming off the air filter or anything

It will slightly increase your power, but honestly it's not enough to feel a difference, the only place the power gain would show up is on a dyno.

Don't worry about a little gas in the intake tube, I had the same thing going on with my warrior back when I had the stock carb on it still, I guess fuel just splashes out sometimes.
