Default 450 kodiak grease fittings

I have a /05 /450 kodiak & I just change the tires on it & i noticedthe grease fittings on the rear axle are facing in so you can't get a grease gun on the fittings unless you take the hubs off also on my 06 grizzly the grease fittings are fine they face out to the tire so you lust take the tire off & grease them can anyone tell me if this is right on the kodiak or did the hubs come from the dealer on the wrong sides

I think that you can get at them if you rotate the wheels until the slots in the wheels line up with the zerks. At least the is the way it is on my grizzly.

I went to my local autoparts store and bought angled zerks. I simple removed the straight zerks and replaced them with the angled zerks. Now I can easily grease my kodiak easily whenever I decide to. In a previous post I listed the actual size I replaced it with. It was metric but not sure what size.

Into the diff and the only way to try to grease them like that was to get an adaptor for your grease gun which didn't work to well.

Replacing them is the only way to go. Just get some from your local auto parts store. It's a breeze to grease it now. You"ll also need a needle adapter to reach the front u-joint. The drive shaft has to be rotated into just the right postion to reach it.

Just use an open end wrench. not sure but maybe 8 or 10 mm. Run it loose to point to inside. Grese it the re tight. I do that all the time. There re high and low on each side. (back)

I did put angled 6-mm zerks on the rear axle of mine after I bought it. I gave up trying to grease the rear U-joint of the front driveshaft.
