HELP BANSHEES HARD TO SHIFT

I have a 92 shee and it will not shift from 2nd to 3rd when Im racing or shooting a hill but its just find when Im riding around does anyone have an idea whats up with it I picked it up used and have had this problem since I got it.

it's normal.
Get used to it, it will be a bit better (I frequently miss gears when "racing").
Something you can do is put some teflon whatever that makes manual gearboxes smoother. I really can't remember the name or whatsoever, but I'm sure it's teflon based.

When you're racing, make sure you are letting the lever all the way down when you up shift. I found that when I raced, I always had my boot under the lever, ready to grab the next gear and I wasn't allowing the level to go down all the way, so every time I shifted I got the same gear. If you don't let it down, it doesn't allow the lever to grab the next tooth on the shift star.

Spencer, All you have to do is take out your clutch basket and behind it there is a shift linkage with an adjuster turn the adjuster and your problem is solved! My buddy has a 00 banshee and he had the same problem its an easy fix if you know what your doing but honestly its not hard.

Yeap. Duneyfz is right. It does happen to me when I don't think about it. Watch this.
