Yes, what is the deal with the sqeaky back brakes on this thing?
Anyone know how to fix this problem? I haven't had any other problems though.

Mine had the squeaky brake problem used brake cleaner from auto parts store and sprayed the back disc and pads and it cleared the problem.

Kodiak should be a very nice choice for ur dad, especially if he just wants to ploink around. Good machine unless your aggressive rider. Im trying to sell mine right now, 769 miles 141.7 hours still in absolute excellent condition, well maintained and all i want is 3900 for payoff and im leavin the winch that rang in at 350 but i got for 250 har har lol on it. early '05 special edition jet black.

The sqeaky back brake is due to a hard compound Yama used on the brake pad for better stopping. You can replace the pad with a softer aftermarket. I just sprayed mine with cleaner everytime I rode and it eventually went away!

HaHH...I have the same quad but wouldn't let mine go for less than $4700 or $5000 with the wheels and plow....620 miles on mine...where you live?

I HAVE A 2003 KODIAK 450. I USE IT PRIMARILY FOR HUNTING AND I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED. I'VE USED IT AT 9,000 FT AND HAD NO PROBLEMS, MAYBE A LITTLE LESS RESPONSE FROM THE THROTTLE. IT HAS PLENTY OF ZIP FOR ME I'M 64 . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE KODIAK 450 WITH OR WITHOUT IRS.

Yea i figured it was easily worth the payoff since ive taken good care of it. One of my long time friends was gonna buy it but he thought i owed a good bit less for payoff to bank. I was thinking damn your gettn a almost new quad at half price pretty much. Im located in Southern Arkansas, cleveland county, Squeege.

There is one change from the 05 to 06. A big one. They fixed the back brake. I'm tired of cleaning the disk. Soon I'm changing pads or trading on a grizz.
