Has anyone taking their raptor to get it serviced yet and if you have how much did it run ya. I caled the dealer where I picked mine up at and they said it would run 100.00. I think that is pretty damn high if ya ask me but it needs to be done.

Just had my first valve adjustment done.
It coast me 53.00. It took about an hour to do it.

 

I don't ever take anything to my dealer. They don't know anything. 95% of my dealer's business is tractors and the rest quads. Maybe if my raptor had a diesel in it they might know what to do. Anyway I changed the oil and bled the brakes myself. Then, I took off the front plastics off and took it too the local cycle shop. Took him 10 minutes to adjust the valves and he charged me 15 bucks. It would have been alot more if he would have had to remove and put back the plastics. Remember time is money. Whatever you can do yourself will save you that much more money. Unless you have a really good dealer that know's alot and doesn't screw you over you should stay away from them.

 

I say do all the work you think you can do at home, my local yam.dealer is a goon and would probally do more harm than good.. if you want it done right the only way is to do it yourself.

 

My dealer gave me 6 free tne ups for free when I bought my Raptor. Three parts and labor and 3 with just the labor. I will be hitting the 20hr. mark my next ride so I guess I should be making my appointment real soon.
