im sorry, but you dont know what youre talking about. The 450s has power, but it was designed for lighweight and handling. Im sure the 450s can go faster then that 2, but the raptor 2 can go way faster then that and easily too.
And how would you know that? Do you own a raptor? The raptor IS a race quad. It just doesnt have the good handling like the 450s. But it as the power and can be very more powerfull then a 450 easily with less money. Go check the fastest raptors and put it agaisnt the fastest 450r, you'll see who'll win for hillclimb or drag race w/e.
Sorry man, I use to have a modified predator too,and I could beat the 450r too,But not as easily like my raptor.
Gooday!

People gotta know how to ride the Rappy too, makes such a massive difference... you can't just rev her until she starts poppin then grab a gear. Gotta progressive shift them things, almost like short shiftin
Setup makes a huge difference too, like tires! People don't know what size type tires to run, or worse they are setup up for one terrain type and race something else. Like a trail tire in sand
Hard to really brag about one machine over another until you get into the very dedicated levels, usually the sand draggers....but then you'd just have a Shee or DS smoke ya anyways

I dont have any problems with any of the 450's. One of the honda's I run with has same mods I have but also has a cam. Havent got to race the new suzuki, but I hear they have a low top speed and would imagine with such a wide stance they wouldn't do that well in a straight line

I had a chance to race a stock 450R (pre 2006) at the Oregon Dunes. He had Hauler sand tires while I was sporting ITP Sand Stars. Although the 450R weighs roughly 50lbs less than the 660, I know I weighed at least 50 less than the guy riding the 450R (I only weigh 125lbs). He got me off the line but once I hit third gear I was caught up and started pulling away. It's hard for me to get a good start since I don't have much weight to keep the front end down. Anyways, I'd say that it's a close race stock for stock. Where did you hear that a piped, jetted, no lid 660 only makes 40hp? They have around 37 stock, most pipes add more than 3hp. I also think that the raptor sees more power gains than the 450R when you start modding it since the Raptor is so restricted from the factory.
What about a race in reverse?
there is NO WAY any quad with " REVERSE" is going to beat a 4fitty, lol.........thats just the way it is
