Where are people getting these low hp rating on a piped and jetted raptor with an intake? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that raptor 660s gain power more when piped, etc. than a 450R because they are more restricted stock. I think 46-48hp is more like it for a piped raptor jetted properly, and an intake.

I would bet my house that a stock 450 would be a stock 660 in 300 ft, raptors are not that quick.
I too would own a new house...

Look at the actual dyno numbers on HMF Engineering web site. They also have the dyno numbers on the 650 Artic Cat.
I dont think that is a joke.

My YFZ only dynoed at 47hp on gas so you guys think your piped and jetted Raptors that are coming in at 48hp can compete? Because if hp # where what ment your bike was fast then there is no way I would be beating 80 and 90hp banshees. Horsepower only gets you so far the rider is just about as important as what you have in your bike.

the guy must not know anything about racing or else he has 200 lbs on you. I have a yfz with a stroker kit on alcohol and im pulling way over 60 hp and i still get beat bye 450r's here and their, but not no modded raptor like yours. And yes stock for stock the 450r has it beat. I need a new house im up for a race aginst a craptor

Although it's good to have lots of horsepower for racing, I think that torque is a big factor as well. But I agree that horsepower alone is not what matters.

Runs a 730 kit from OMW with web109's and a 48mm lectron. It has some serious torque!

lol piped jetted and intake(only an airbox mod) raptor will not make anywhere near 48hp. i highly doubt mine is up to even 50. and a stock 660r vs a stock yfz 450 or 450r, the 450's win. the 450s come in pretty much equal in horsepower as a 660, and they are 50 lbs lighter. you put equal weight riders on the 450 and raptor, the raptor is gonna get embarassed bad.
