Wolverine Winch Mounting
#2
I relocated my oil cooler back farther and tucked a Warn 2000 behind and below the bumper so the roller fairlead is just below the plastic grill. I made my own brackets but a similar mount is available from CMP but requires extension brackets to tilt your bumper a bit to make more room.

i just bought a winch mount from cabelas for my wolverine i havent got it on yet but ive looked at it and it goes completely behind the bumper were it dont stick out thats why i bought the cabelas cause i didnt want mine sticking out were if i ran into somethin it wouldnt tear up all u have to do is move the oil cooler back alittle bit which takes 5 minutes then just mount ur mount on to the frame it comes with easy step by step instructions also.

So Yamahon did you get your mount in yet if so have you put it on and how did that go. I ordered a mount for my winch the other day and hope to get it in sometime this week. Also what kind of winch did y'all go with. I went with a superwinch ATV2000 for about $150.

Finally got my winch mounted heres hoe i did it removed the headlights and the mounting brackets, welded a flat piece of 1/4" steel to the bottum of the 2 pipes where the headlights mounted then lowered the oil cooler 1 inch and back half an inch shimmed the whole front bumper foward 1 inch and mounted the headlights under the rack and built custom haedlight guards and the closed in the area under the oil cooler with small perforated steel, looks great like some sort of attack quad just thought you would all like to know how i finally did it!!!
