Blasters are junk , thats your answer ? if blasters were junk then please explain why yamaha sells each and everyone they make , not to mention they have been around since the 80's.
I have owned blasters over 10 years and worked on them , I didnt see that blaster have anything more listed , motor wise besides being a nice 240 , and personally , even depending on the rider unless he really cant ride that well ,I do not believe the blaster has a chance over the stock raptor ( JMO )

Okay, so you know, i am talking about a drag race??? In an mx race the blaster would have it cause the rap is not an mx machine, you never know though, if the rap is widened then it could have it. And the raptor will whoop the living crap out of a 240 blaster in a drag, the 240 is not puttin out 40 hp just off of a motor mod, i can guarrentee that. it takes a hell of a lot more to get it there, an exhaust, filter, huge *** carb, like a 38mm, longer stroke, and the raptor is geared way higher than the blaster!!!! Who ever said the blaster geard higher than the raptor, is high themself! The rap is one of the most high geared quad, topped out 5th gear, mine has done 85 next to an sv650 suzuki...i guarrentee you the rap would take it in a drag race, the track, it all depends on the rider. i have seen a rap and a 240 on a track, this rap was pretty decked out though, stock motor though, and it was widened and whatnot and whooped the living hell out of some kid on a vito 240. Blasters are good quads, but if you wanna keep up with the big boys, and that is just keeping up...you have to do a hell of a lot to them. I just layed down about as many facts as you need right there.

blaster in a short drag without a doubt. A really long drag the raptor but it would have to be really long. otherwise the blaster for everything else in between there. And the blaster on a track without a doubt. I just beat an almost stock raptor on the track. And it was my first race ever.

Im a raptor owner and im gonna have to go with the 240 blaster in this case. let me explain, the raptors stock exhaust is extremely restrictive and so are alot of other components on the raptor, but you can bore that blaster out all you want ill still be spittin rocks in his face, if he can even keep up. Pink slip races welcome. lol
