Kodiak rear brakes: HELP!
#1
I just replaced the rear brake pads on my Yamaha Kodiak (it has disc brakes). I had to compress the hydraulic puck to make room for the new pads. Since reassembly, I can't get enough braking action to stop the ATV. I bled the brakes. I checked the resevior under the front cover.... no luck. Any ideas?

This is pretty common. The slider pins are probably crusty or rusty. The caliper needs to "float" on the bracket. So if you take the caliper off of the machine, the caliper should be able to slide in and out on the two pins of the holding bracket.
