i am buying a new quad this summer and i dont no which to buy. i heard a lot of good things about the suzuki but im kinda a yamaha fan. what do u guys think i should get ?

 

What type of riding do you plan to do?

The Suzuki has had transmission and clutch problems already. Suzukis are usually junk anyways, so id avoid that.

If your a Yamaha fan get a YFZ. Id get it before a TRX any day.

 

Raptor 700r.

 

For what you will pay for any one of those options,you can include a Raptor700r. All 3 of those choices are good for a darn good fun time and plenty of performance,but don't dicount a raptor at this stage.,unless you have some specific type of riding you want to do, like racing.

 

I went through the same thing and I picked the 06 TRX450R. This is very nice machine and very fast stock never mind after the HRC kit. Trust me get the TRX450R you will be very happy.

 

Curious to know where you're seeing/hearing this, I'd like to learn more.

 

One of my friend's has a 450 suzuki.All he's done is remove the air box lid,removed the silencer baffle,and added the cherry bomb($30).He has no problems with the other piped 450's around here.

 

The only big problems on the new Quadracer I have heard are from race damage, and may not have even been stock parts. For the money, I think the Suzuki is one heck of a buy, and seems more comfortable than the other 450's, IMHO. Otherwise I would go with a YFZ. Yamaha gave it a better ride and ergos this year while upping the power as well. It is a great handling quad, more so stock than the 450R.

 

The Suzuki is having some loud transmission noises, that is if you are still run the oil that comes from the factory. Also, the upper shock mount is breaking on many of them.

 

I have owned a suzuki z400 and it was nothing but a big pile of junk, spent more time in the shop than at my house. Anyways i now own a honda 450r and i am really happy with it. I have rode both of the 450s yamaha and honda and i would say go with which ever one you like better both are good bikes. Most of races between them stock just depend on the rider ability. And for everyone so happy with the new suzuki they are gonna be great if you never wanna ride it and just wanna leave it in the shop all the time. example suzuki is so smart after all the frame problems on the z400 they arent smart enough to not do the same thing twice.
