Default loosing coolant

My 01 raptor 686 is loosing coolant and i don't know why. I just put a new water pump and coolant so i thought it might just be bleeding the system, but i've filled the resivior 3 times now. There doesn't appear to be any coolant in the oil or anywhere on the outside of the motor. My biggest concern is that it keeps heating up (or at least the oil light keeps coming on). Does a raptor have a thermostat? if not why would the coolant not be circulating. any ideas? thanks.

"Loosing coolant; heating up."
Sorry dude, this is classic of a head gasket or crack problem. It's a closed system, so if you don't see any coolant on the ground or in the oil; that only leaves one thing left..............your burning it out the pipe.
You can do a pressure test to make sure.
I think the head is going to be coming off and a gasket changed out.

Any radiator shop has a hand pump. They will take your radiator cap off and replace it with a fitting that attaches to the pump. They will pump up the pressure and take the reading and see if that pressure holds. If that pressure does not hold, you have a leak. If you don't see the leak on the outside of the engine, you have a leak on the inside of the engine. (head gasket or crack)

Warning: I have seen this test give false negitives, because of the defect being so small. The engine should be up to temp before doing this test.
Like I said above, all in all I think your going to be yanking the head off. If the thing does not leak on the outside, there is only one other possibility.

You most likely have a bad head gasket. Happened to my 02 Raptor.

Sounds like a head gasket to me. burning it out the exhaust. Does the exhaust smell funny.
