Do 450yfz front shocks bolt on the 700 Raptor
Doing a hill climb that was a little steep, I kinda went over backwards and bent a front shock. Not ready to spend $ 3000.00 today for what I want, I thought about tring a pair of 06 YFZ450 shocks. Does anyone know if this works, and how well?

I have them on mine--- I think it's a great bang for the buck. They bolt right up.
They lower the front a little, and handle better IMO. Try and get a pair of 06's, they have softer valving than the earlier ones. Soften up the compression and you are good to go.

The 05 has softer valving than the 04's, and either the 05 or 06 may have even gotten new springs.
Personally I would want them stiffer, the 700 and 660 are heavier bikes and many end up putting them on raptors with extended a arms.

For jumping, I would agree with stiffer.
For woods riding, I have found that softer works better for me. Less bouncing over the rocks and roots.
The beauty of having the 450 shocks is you can adjust them to suit .
